The opening title says it all: Harima Kenji, who clearly is going for the "hey! I'm bad!" likes a very cute girl called Tsukamoto Tenma, who likes some weird guy with dreamy eyes, who likes food. And they all spin round and round and round. And hey look! A UFO just flew by, even though UFOs do not make an appearance in this anime.

This anime appeared on AnimeMQ's Friday screenings after the end of Gunslinger Girl, and is really, really funny. Some of the word play is hard to follow unless you knew Japanese, but it's really, really funny. Some of the craziness is so unbelievable that I probably should add "fantasy" onto the list of genres, but it's really, really funny. Even the message at the start telling you to sit well away from the TV uses previous footage in surprising and really, really funny ways. Did I mention that it was really, really funny?

Admittedly, I don't actually get how an anime series that starts out about high school love ends up having "water imps" and psychics in it, but ignoring the part of my brain that is saying, "What the? This doesn't belong in this genre," in sheer, stunned amazement, it's really, really good. So go check it out while you can.
